 Registration update

We are full in planned classes for the 2024-2025 school year

Thanks to all the families who pre-enrolled before the March 22, 2024, deadline to help our school get ready for next year!

We had more requests than available space, which means new students
will be chosen by random selection in the following grades:.  Students who live within the Michael A Kostek boundaries are guaranteed a space.  All unsuccessful candidates have already been contacted and more information will be sent home as it becomes available.

Kindergarten -

If your child is entering one of these grades, you will be notified about the results by April 12, 2024.

For all other grades, your child has been accepted, and we will not be contacting you.

2024-2025 NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION BEGINS

Schools start accepting New Student registrations for the next school year on February 1, 2024.

Visit the new student registration page on epsb.ca to learn more.

Applying after March 22, 2024 may limit your options to schools with available space. Learn more about registration dates and deadlines.

Children who are five years old on or before December 31, 2024 may register in Kindergarten for the 2024–25 school year.

MAK Announcement February 23, 2024 - Transitioning to Level 2

As space becomes more of a factor at Michael A. Kostek, we are beginning to move closer to Level 2 status in the EPSB Growth Control model which would eventually limit only resident students in attendance area, siblings of students or students already attending MAK to enrol with us. However as we are not yet officially transitioning to that status, we will still consider pre-enrolment requests of resident students outside our boundaries in order to balance our class numbers provided that there is space.

Michael A. Kostek is full in planned classes in the regular program for the 2023-2024 School Year

We will now only accept resident students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
