Clubs & Activities

Students who wish to get involved in activities beyond the classroom have many opportunities from which to choose at Michael A. Kostek School. As part of our Leader in Me initiative, all students have opportunity to sign up for leadership or to develop a personal area of interest. Students sign up three times a year for Student Leader Groups or "Sharpen the Saw" Clubs. Leader Groups provide leadership in many different areas such as Student Council, Patrols, Door Monitors, Library, Technology, and more. "Sharpen the Saw" clubs develop interests in a range of areas including robotics, dance, drama, technology, Lego and more.

Students with a flair for music can join one of our choirs and have the opportunity to perform at concerts and events throughout the year.

For students who are interested in physical activity, we have a team of teacher coaches who offer both cross country and indoor track. M.A.K. athletes participate in the Harrier Series, C.A.H.P.E.R., Running Room Games and Hershey Games. Students from grades two through six participate in the program.

Intramurals are held throughout the year in a range of sports.

All clubs and rehearsals are scheduled during the lunch break.
